Compassion Based Mindfulness

How our neuroplasticity program differs from others is that we base the understanding of each individual's brain and emotional pathways through their unique blueprint of core beliefs and emotions. We then begin to not only rewire thoughts, but also change any negative emotional baselines. Together, these modalities help people transform their own experience and guide them to their own solutions, goals and recoveries.

Our Core Beliefs And Emotions

Every single human being holds a set of subconscious belief systems, habits, emotions and thought patterns. These beliefs are the foundations on which our individual personal realities, or personalities, are created.

Examining these together allows us to understand how and why the brain and nervous system are activated in ways that may limit the individual, through no fault of their own. This insight helps shape a bespoke neuroplasticity practice that is not about 'fixing' or making someone 'better', but about creating a new way forward in life based on self-compassion, understanding and empowerment.

We all routinely and unknowingly deplete enormous amounts of energy in reacting automatically and unconsciously to the outside world, in our relationships and to our own inner experiences. Cultivating compassionate mindfulness means learning to tap and focus wasted energies; and also implement sound and breathable boundaries for ourselves.

Our Hardwiring

Joy

Our brain has an evolutionary negativity bias in order for us to be aware of any threats to our survival. As already covered in the neuroplasticity section, this really impacts the limbic system of the brain. That area of our brain is so conditioned to be ready for threat, that it’s always looking for the next danger. It has something called 'neuroception,' a primed and conditioned trigger happy response to try and keep us alive.

Therefore, our core beliefs and emotions about ourselves and the wider world lean to the negative bias. We are velcro for negative experiences and teflon for positive experiences. To install positive experiences and emotions into our core beliefs is a little more challenging because they are not so acutely related to survival. If negative emotions and thoughts are installed as our internal reality, they becomes the emotional soundtrack through which we view the world, until we realise we have influence to change this emotional soundtrack to a happier, more trusting, compassionate one.

We have to really savour something positive, connecting with the emotion associated to it, to more powerfully install it in the brain.  This is why we use a three pronged approach of neuroplasticity, heart coherence, and compassion based mindfulness. With these, we can begin to retrain your brain into healthier pathways and guide your nervous system into calmer states of rest and repair. This work is gentle, respectful of each unique individual, and seeks to gently empower, never to ‘fix’.

This practice allows everything in your life to wake you up to your innate influence.
