 Nadia Georgiou

MA (Hons), PGDip, MBSR Cert, HeartMath ® Trainer

I began my career in psychotherapy with a deep interest in neuroscience. Becoming disillusioned with traditional talk psychotherapy, which worked only on a mental level whilst ignoring the mind-body connection and trauma, I moved into a successful career in finance.

In 2008, an illness began affecting multiple systems and organs. After seeing over 45 specialists; the trauma of misdiagnosis, not being heard by medical professionals and losing functionality completely, I decided to go a new route to save my own life. I recovered from multiple tick-borne infections including Lyme disease, as well as from biotoxin/mold illness (CIRS), autoimmune disease, anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, interstitial cystitis, heavy metal toxicity and complex post traumatic stress by incorporating neuroplasticity skills, emotional healing, internal family systems, psychedelic plant medicines, trauma informed somatic practice, meditation and a nourishing lifestyle.

My passion to help others heal lead me back to my former academic field of psychology and neuroscience where I continue to add to my existing qualifications:

  • BA Hons Social Psychology University of Sussex (2004)

I continue to expand my post graduate qualifications to be the best teacher possible to empower others to heal.  Having attended 6 advanced and 4 advanced follow up workshops of Dr Joe Dispenza as well as assisting at his workshops, I am also very comfortable weaving this into my teaching if clients wish.

My work harnesses health rather than focusing on sickness. I do not see this work as a ‘treatment’ for ‘sickness’ but as a discovery of what factors block the innate ability to recover, which can be multi faceted. I believe our body speaking in symptoms is a compassionate wake up call to where we have inner conflict. Illness is often an alchemical process where our authentic Self is wanting to emerge but is very different to how we adapted to survive adversity (chronic stress responses, personality parts stuck in survival, intergenerational patterns). Recovery means beginning to honour that these kinds of dis-eases are a profound wisdom to stop us in our tracks to heal deeply and grow home to ourselves. The process is not something to fear, try to dominate or rush through. We often colonise the body instead of building loving relationships with it.

The power of language, heart coherence, personality parts, addressing suppressed emotion, nervous system health and brain plasticity are all included in order to re-wire the brain, immune and nervous system for health. Clients will find this collaborative process empowering and fun. As sessions progress, clients grow new levels of emotional and physiological resilience along with increased capacity to feel joy and appreciation for themselves and their life. My clients range from CEO’s dealing with burnout, to patients recovering from decades long chronic illness.

My mission is to create an empowered tribe of badass recovery heroes and heroines who own their story, who are not victims of their circumstances, but are instead authors of their own healing.

I work with compassion, knowledge, a lot of humour, and no bullshit. Come as you are, you are accepted and appreciated.

I am a keen tennis player, a student for life of yoga, love baby goats, and am a total bookworm. I am dog mum to Alfred and Picallili, my miniature australian shepherds and enjoy hiking with them most weekends. I live in Portland, Oregon in the US and Barcelona Spain with my husband, my dogs and my magical step daughter. I travel globally both to adventure and to work with clients. I honour my once in a lifetime dog Maverick who passed in 2020, for being the cornerstone of my healing and teaching me about love.
